Adapters
An adapter connects data sources to OctoMesh and runs data flows. Every adapter is hosted by a deployment site and runs a set of pipelines.

An application is a containerised business application that the Communication Operator rolls out to a deployment site from a Helm chart (for example a web app that belongs to a blueprint).
A data flow is a group of pipelines with their triggers. Its pipelines run on adapters; the triggers start them on a schedule. Open the list with Integration > Data Flows.
A deployment site is the location workloads are deployed to: a central cluster ("Default Cloud") or a named edge cluster. The Communication Operator that serves the location registers against it. Adapters and applications are hosted by exactly one deployment site.
Integration is the area of the Studio where data gets into and out of OctoMesh. Four things belong together: a deployment site is a location (a central cluster or an edge cluster) that hosts adapters and applications, and the adapters run the data flows. Select Integration in the rail to open it.
The Signal channel connects a dedicated Signal phone number to the tenant, so that people can talk to OctoMesh from the Signal messenger (questions, uploaded files, answers in the same chat). Each tenant can activate exactly one number; activation registers it with Signal through the tenant's Signal bridge.
