Adapters​

Mesh Adapter​

Adapters that are installed centrally in the cloud are called Mesh Adapters.

Edge Adapter​

Adapters that are installed locally, on the edge, are called Edge Adapters.

Pipelines​

DataFlow​

A DataFlow (previously called Data Pipeline) is a logical grouping of related Edge and Mesh pipeline definitions. DataFlows are responsible for organizing the Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes across distributed environments and establishing shared topic exchanges for inter-pipeline communication.

Edge Pipelines​

Pipelines that are executed on the edge are called Edge Pipelines.

Mesh Pipelines​

Pipelines that are executed in the cloud are called Mesh Pipelines.

Pipeline Trigger​

Pipeline Triggers are methods used to execute pipelines based on predefined timing conditions.

Resources​

Tenant​

A Tenant is a group of users who share a common access with specific privileges to the OctoMesh instance.

Asset​

An Asset is a key resource that holds an economic value.

API​

GraphQL​

GraphQL is a query language for APIs and a runtime for executing those queries with your existing data.

Certificates​

OctoMesh uses certificates to manage access.
