Fields

| NotSet | 0 | null / missing, an empty value, or a legacy placeholder still waiting for the migration. |
| Plaintext | 1 | Legacy clear text still stored (before the encrypt sweep). A pending (unsaved input) value is reported as this form as well. |
| EncV1 | 2 | Legacy enc:v1 string (instance key). |
| EncV2 | 3 | Protected, key id in the key ring. |
| KeyMissing | 4 | Protected, key id NOT in the key ring (kept; reads as not set + key missing). Also a legacy enc:v1 string on a host without the legacy key (key id SecretValueStates.LegacyV1KeyId). |
| Corrupt | 5 | A stored value that can never be read: an enc:v2 envelope stored as a legacy string (SecretValueStates.IsCorrupt(RtSecretValue)). Reads as not set, warning logged. |
